Volvo Golf Champions leaderboard

Scott Jamieson is on course to kick off 2013 in style as he forged a five-stroke lead at the Volvo Golf Champions in South Africa.

The Scot, who claimed his maiden European Tour title at the Nelson Mandela Championship last month, emerged as a contender with an impressive 64 on Friday, and he set the pace with a solid 68 on Saturday.

At 15-under-par, Jamieson sits five shots clear of overnight leader Louis Oosthuizen, who could only manage a third-round 74 as he failed to consolidate his advantage at the top of the leaderboard.

The former Open champion is joined at ten-under by Thailand's Thongchai Jaidee and Frenchman Julien Quesne, who shot rounds of 73 and 67 respectively.

Ireland's Padraig Harrington fired himself into contention on the penultimate day after an eagle at the 10th helped the three-time major champion card a round of 67 to move up to eight-under, level with former Ryder Cup team-mate Francesco Molinari (68).

Danny Willett and Paul Lawrie are a shot further back, alongside Shane Lowry, who missed out on a £93,000 lorry on the final green when his ball pulled up agonisingly short after his tee-shot on the par-four kicked off the bank of a bunker and looked to be heading for a hole-in-one.

Home favourite Ernie Els and Darren Clarke both carded rounds of one-under to sit at five-under and two-under respectively.
