Phil Mickelson has kick-started the European-American rivalry here at the Ryder Cup, having arrived in Paris earlier today. He tweeted: "Arrived in Paris with team USA. Heading to the course now and can't wait to get started! So fun having that little extra piece of luggage with us. You know...THE CUP!" Team Europe will hope the Cup was brought here on a single, rather than a return ticket.

The European team bonded over a 10-minute video of impressions by Conor Moore on Monday night here at the Ryder Cup in Paris. Francesco Molinari was chief victim. He faced the press Tuesday morning and was his usual, understated self but commenting on the impression said: "I'm actually thinking of it all the time now answering questions, trying to smile a bit more....can't you tell the difference?"

Ian Poulter lost his game once upon a time and wondered if he'd ever get it back. So he knows, at least a little, what Tiger Woods was going through. "It's inspirational to see the way he's come back," Poulter said.
