"After five years in Russia, I'm highly motivated to prove myself once again in the Bundesliga," Kuranyi, 33, told the official Hoffenheim website.
"TSG are a club with a great structure and huge prospects and I want to help us meet them."
Brazil-born Kuranyi previously enjoyed great success at Stuttgart and Schalke, claiming over 100 goals, before scoring 56 in 151 games for Dynamo.
The whole team can benefit from his years of experience at the highest level, both on and off the pitch." said Hoffenheim director of football Alexander Rosen.
