City signings make an impact

Adam Johnson produced a man-of-the-match performance on his full debut for Manchester City, as Roberto Mancini's side beat Bolton 2-0 at Eastlands.
Johnson won a penalty after half an hour which Carlos Tevez converted to put City ahead. Emmanuel Adebayor doubled City's lead on 73 minutes with a powerful volley, chested down from Patrick Vieira's pass. The result leaves Owen Coyle's side just a point above the relegation zone.
Aruna Dindane scored a last gasp equaliser for Portsmouth to draw 1-1 at home to Sunderland in a match with three sendings off. Steve Bruce's side remain without a win in twelve as they were reduced to nine men at Fratton Park.
Portsmouth went behind to a Darren Bent penalty after nine minutes, and were down to ten men in bizarre circumstances - referee Kevin Friend initially showed a red card to Hassan Yebda, before realising it was Ricardo Rocha who had tripped Bent. The numbers were even after 53 minutes when Lee Cattermole was shown a second yellow for a crunching tackle on Angelos Basinas and David Meyler, who had only been on the pitch for two minutes, was shown a straight red with three minutes remaining.
Portsmouth remain five points adrift at the bottom of the Premier League table, but Avram Grant will take heart from his side's spirited performance.
Bobby Zamora marked his return to the Fulham starting line-up with a goal as the Cottagers won 3-0 at home to Burnley.
Danny Murphy opened the scoring for the home side, David Elm doubled their advantage on just his second start for Roy Hodgson, and Zamora, who missed Saturday's draw at Bolton, put the icing on the cake for Roy Hodgson's side. Brian Laws' side remain without a win away from home this season.
The points were shared at the DW Stadium where Wigan held in-form Stoke to a 1-1 draw. Wigan went ahead through Paul Scharner after quarter of an hour, but Tuncay's header pulled Stoke level.
