Ancelotti denies interest in Italy job

Carlo Ancelotti has denied that he holds any interest in the Italy job after reports linked him with the post. Marcello Lippi, a rival of Ancelotti's when the two managed in Serie A, is presently in charge of the national team.
Despite the pair's past as adversaries, the Chelsea boss insists he has no intention of usurping his countryman. "I will not be there once Lippi leaves," Ancelotti said. "I have a contract with Chelsea. I will be a candidate in 2030 when Italy will win the World Cup.
"I have studied the stats and, after the second World War, we have won the World Cup title every 24 years and reached the final every 12 years. Hence, the 2018 final I leave it to someone else.
"Besides, before I leave Chelsea I would like to win the FA Cup, the Premier League and obviously, the Champions League. I am in no hurry. There is a lot of competition here."
Chelsea, who currently sit atop the Premier League, face an awkward away match against Everton on Wednesday evening. They will be able to call on captain John Terry at Goodison Park, although he is unlikely to be available for the weekend's FA Cup tie against Cardiff.
