Bolton announce capture of free agent Stuart Holden

Bolton Wanderers have made their second signing of the January transfer window with American midfielder Stuart Holden joining the club on a free transfer, subject to international clearance.
Holden, 24, recently left MLS side Houston Dynamo and has joined Bolton on a deal until the end of the season after impressing new manager Owen Coyle during a trial period.
"Stuart has been training with us and he has done well," Coyle told the club's official website. "He has a great energy and desire, and he wants to show that he can play in the best league in the world, so he is a young man with a point to prove."
Houston had hoped to retain the services of Holden, who has won 12 caps for the United States, but he turned to the Premier League and initially attracted interest from Blackburn and Burnley.
However, following Coyle's move from Turf Moor to the Reebok Stadium he has now joined on-loan Manchester City winger Vladimir Weiss in strengthening Bolton's squad.
