Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has to settle for a place on the bench for the visit of Liverpool, with the defending champions making just one change from their opening victory against Newcastle.

Pablo Zabaleta replaces Aleksandar Kolarov in defence. Fernando and Yaya Toure will anchor the midfield, while Stevan Jovetic and Edin Dzeko play up front.

For the visitors, new signing Mario Balotelli will have to watch his team-mates take on his former side from the stands but Lazar Markovic makes the substitutes bench.

The "New SAS" of Daniel Sturridge and Raheem Sterling both start while Alberto Moreno makes his debut for the club at left back - a possible baptism of fire welcome to Premier League football. Joe Allen replaces Lucas in the midfield.
