Calum Chambers has been handed his Champions League debut for Arsenal in their play-off first leg against Besiktas in Istanbul, while Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud also start.

Kieran Gibbs misses both legs through injury and Arsene Wenger has preferred his summer recruit Chambers in defence alongside Laurent Koscielny, who has been passed fit for the clash.

Nacho Monreal comes in at left-back, while Wenger has persisted with a strong attacking line-up: Sanchez is joined by Santi Cazorla, Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey. Giroud returns to the starting line-up, with Yaya Sanogo ruled out through injury.

For the home side, former Chelsea striker Demba Ba starts.
