Lorenzo Insigne's agent has denied claims that Arsenal have made a move to sign his client.

Reports suggested Arsenal were ready to make a £20 million bid for the winger, who was a member of Italy's World Cup squad in Brazil.

"We have not been contacted by Arsenal for Lorenzo Insigne and Napoli has not notified us of this interest," Insigne's agent Fabio Andreotti told Italian radio station Radio Crc.

"Lorenzo is a target of several European sides so it wouldn't surprise me if big clubs are interested in him. However, Napoli don't want to put him in the market."

Andreotti previously declared he and his client were "honoured" to be linked with Arsenal but insisted a move to the Premier League would prove difficult to materialise.

Insigne scored eight goals in all competitions for Napoli last season as Rafa Benitez's side finished third in Serie A and secured Champions League qualification.

He also scored twice in a 3-1 win over Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia final. Insigne is under contract with Napoli until June 2017.
