Danny Welbeck starts while Raheem Sterling and Ross Barkley are on the bench for England against Peru as Roy Hodgson hints at his likely XI to face Italy at the World Cup on June 14.

Jordan Henderson is given the nod over Jack Wilshere and Frank Lampard in midfield alongside Liverpool team-mate and captain Steven Gerrard at Wembley.

Adam Lallana is also named in England's attack with Wayne Rooney and Daniel Sturridge.

Glen Johnson is selected at right-back with Leighton Baines preferred to Southampton left-back Luke Shaw.
