Aromatic pillows await Ronaldo in Brazil
Cristiano Ronaldo will be given VIP treatment at this summer's World Cup as reports in the Italian press suggest he will live in luxury in Brazil.
Claims have emerged that Portugal coach Paulo Bento has chosen the luxurious Campinas resort as a base for his squad, who will play Germany, Ghana and the USA in Group G.
Bento has reportedly given Ronaldo the VIP suite, which houses special heated mirrors (so they do not steam up) as well as aromatic pillows. The Real Madrid winger has also been granted with his own set of personal bodyguards to ensure maximum safety.
Armindo Dias, president for the holding company which owns the hotel, said: "We are really honoured to be able to welcome the best player in the world. He seems like a genuine person who isn't pretentious."
Portugal's tournament begins on June 16 with a clash against Germany in Salvador.
