Loic Remy is keen to join Arsenal in the summer, a source close to the player has told the Sunday People.

The France striker, on loan at Newcastle from Championship club Queens Park Rangers, has also attracted interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

But Remy will snub a move to White Hart Lane in favour of the red half of north London in an attempt to emulate one of his idols.

"If Arsenal want him that's where he will go," the source told the newspaper. "Where else would a big fan of Thierry Henry want to go?"

QPR want £15 million for Remy, who is eager to sort his future before jetting off to Brazil with France's World Cup squad.
