Rooney starts as he seeks European milestone

Wayne Rooney will lead Manchester United's attack against Olympiakos as he hunts his 30th goal in the Champions League.

Rooney will play alongside Robin van Persie in the first leg of the last 16 tie in Greece.

In midfield, manager David Moyes has opted to persist with Tom Cleverley alongside Michael Carrick, while Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia start on each wing.

Marouane Fellaini, who played just his 12th game for United in Saturday's league win at Crystal Palace, starts on the bench.

Adnan Januzaj, substituted after 80 minutes at Selhurst Park, misses out altogether, as does Shinji Kagawa. Juan Mata is cup-tied.
