Tim Sherwood has been handed a boost with the return of Andros Townsend to his Tottenham squad, although the winger takes up a place on the bench after missing eight weeks with a hamstring injury.

Mousa Dembele returns after missing Spurs' draw with Hull, while Emmanuel Adebayor - fresh from admitting his fallout with previous manager Andre Villas-Boas - leads the Spurs line of attack.

Jermain Defoe is on the subs bench for what is set to be his last game for Tottenham at White Hart Lane.

For Everton, new signing Lacina Traore only makes the bench along with the returning Gerard Deulofeu, but boss Roberto Martinez recalled Seamus Coleman following his recent injury scare.
