Manchester United manager David Moyes will be in Germany on Friday night to watch Bayern Munich striker Mario Mandzukic, according to a report in the Daily Mail.

Moyes has made the trip to Germany alongside coach Phil Neville to watch Bayern take on Borussia Monchengladbach at Borussia Park in the Bundesliga.

And it is believed that Moyes will be monitoring Mandzukic, a player he has been linked with in the past when he was the manager of Everton.

And the Daily Mail say that Moyes is watching Mandzukic on Friday night.

Mandzukic moved from Wolfsburg in 2012 to Bayern, but with the arrival of Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski next season after he signed a pre-contract with last year's Treble winners, Mandzukic appears to be down the Bayern pecking order.

The report also says that Moyes had sent scouts to watch Mandzukic in the past, when he played for Dinamo Zagreb and Wolfsburg.
