Arsenal may have a fight on their hands to land Real Madrid's Alvaro Morata, as Liverpool have entered the race to sign the youngster.

On Wednesday, it was reported that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger had ordered the club's scouts to find a solution to the lack of attacking options, as Theo Walcott will be sidelined for at least six months, and also Nicklas Bendtner out injured.

And Morata was the man various publications reported as being the player Wenger had his eye on.

However, the Premier League leaders will face stiff competition from Liverpool, as according to Marca, manager Brendan Rodgers wants to sign Morata to fill the void vacated by the injured Daniel Sturridge.
