David Moyes is ready to make a £30 million offer for Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke once the January transfer window opens next week.

The Manchester United manager only landed Marouane Fellaini during the summer despite targeting several players, the likes of Thiago Alcantara, Cesc Fabregas, Ander Herrera and Leighton Baines.

However, according to the Mirror, Moyes is primed to make a bid for Koke, and they say he has "made two personal checks" on the Atletico player, and as soon as the transfer window opens on January 1 will attempt to sign him.

The Mirror also reports that Koke has been assessed seven times by United staff in recent weeks, with the latest taking place last weekend in Atletico's 3-2 victory over Levante.
