Arsenal are set to snap up Barcelona starlet Toni Sanabria on a five-year-deal, according to reports.

The 17-year-old Paraguayan is poised to follow in the footsteps of Cesc Fabregas by moving from the Catalan giants to the Premier League leaders as a teenager.

Sanabria's agent, Raul Verdu, is quoted by the Daily Mail as saying: "Our contacts with Arsenal are advanced and I expect a solution in the next week."

The newspaper claims Arsenal are due to meet with Barcelona and Sanabria next week to finalise a deal and gain clearance from both federations.

It is likely Arsenal will have to pay around £300,000 in compensation for Sanabria, who has also attracted the interest of Serie A side Roma.
