Martin Jol has revealed he could be sacked as Fulham manager if they do not pick up decent results from back-to-back London derbies against West Ham and Tottenham.

Fulham are 18th in the Premier League and have collected only 10 points from 12 games. Jol's struggling side face West Ham on Saturday away from home, and then have a tie against Tottenham at Craven Cottage to contend with in a week's time.

And Jol, who is feeling the strain from supporters who have been calling for his dismissal, admits his position as manager will not be safe if the slump continues in the capital clashes.

"If we win, yeah. If we don't, I don't know. It is always difficult," Jol replied on whether he believed his job would be secure.

"If I was on the board or an owner I would be worrying. We need wins. Every game is almost a must-win game. That is what I have told everyone.

"If you are at a club like Fulham or Stoke or Swansea you always get times when things could go wrong and you have to try to get back to winning ways."

Jol has already received the backing of new owner Shahid Khan, and the man in charge believes they can climb out of the relegation zone.

"You don't have to talk to an owner to be aware of the fact that you need points to get back to a winning culture, to a little bit of stability," Jol added.

"You can lose once or twice but you can't lose four or five times on the trot. That will put you in a bad position. One win will get us back among others and take the pressure off and then hopefully we could have a good run like last year."
