Mathieu Flamini lasted only seven minutes for his return to the Arsenal side after he came off with a groin injury.

Flamini missed the Borussia Dortmund game with concussion, but lasted only seven minutes after manager Arsene Wenger put him straight back into the side against Crystal Palace.

Jack Wilshere is out of the starting XI and starts on the bench for Arsenal.

Mesut Ozil keeps his place in the side despite Wenger revealing his record summer-signing was feeling unwell before the Dortmund game.

Arsenal top the Premier League by two points ahead of Chelsea and have not lost in the league since the opening day of the season - where they were beaten 3-1 at The Emirates by Aston Villa.

The defeat to Dortmund in the Champions League on Tuesday was their first loss the Gunners' tasted in 12 matches in all competitions. Arsenal have also registered five wins in seven meetings against Palace.

Marouane Chamakh starts against his former side. Palace meanwhile are second-from-bottom and have lost their last five games.
