Shinji Kagawa makes a rare start for Manchester United in their Champions League tie against Real Sociedad at Old Trafford.

Adnan Januzaj, only recently added to United's Champions League squad, has to settle for a place on the bench, while injured trio Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic and Tom Cleverley all miss out entirely.

There is also no place in the squad for Robin van Persie, with David Moyes explaining that the striker has a niggling toe injury sustained on international duty with the Netherlands earlier this month, as well as some concerns over his persistent groin problem.
