Arsenal braced for Sagna departureESPN staff October 9, 2013 « Pogba exit huge loss for United - Evra | Ozil insists Arsenal 'will get better as a team' »
Arsenal are bracing themselves for the exit of Bacary Sagna as the Frenchman looks set to leave the club at the end of the season, according to the Daily Mail.
The 30-year-old's current contract expires at the conclusion of the current campaign, and Arsenal are desperate to tie the Frenchman down to a new deal at The Emirates.
However, the Daily Mail reports that Sagna has "privately acknowledged" this will be his final season at the Gunners. Sagna was offered a 12-month extension last year, but the paper says sources close to the right-back claim he "felt disrespected".
And the departure will mean that he is likely to leave on a free transfer, which will come as a blow to manager Arsene Wenger as Sagna has been one of his key players since joining the club in 2007.
