Romelu Lukaku has vowed to prove Jose Mourinho wrong by scoring more goals than any of Chelsea's strikers while on loan at Everton.

Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba haven't yet managed a Premier League goal between them this term, though the Spaniard did score against Bayern Munich in the Super Cup and in the 2-0 Capital One Cup win at Swindon.

All the while Lukaku has been filling his boots for Everton with four goals in as many games since his deadline day move, and the striker believes Mourinho made an error in judgement in allowing him to leave.

"I want to score more goals than the Chelsea strikers," Lukaku told Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad. "We will see at the end of the season who made the best choice.

"The coach decides and as a player you have to respect that.

"I chose to leave and it's up to me to prove the coach wrong. The only thing I can do is play well and score a lot. And then I think people will say that I'm a good player."
