Manchester United continue to plot a move for Leighton Baines, but could face competition from Tottenham for the Everton full-back in January.
Former Everton boss David Moyes had a summer-long pursuit of Baines and Marouane Fellaini, but it was only the latter who followed Moyes to Old Trafford before the transfer window closed.
Now the Mail on Sunday reports that United will put forward an offer of £15 million plus Antonio Valencia to land Baines when the window re-opens in the new year.
However, the Sunday People reports that Tottenham also have an eye on Baines, who has yet to sign a new contract with Everton.
