Joe Hart has been retained in goal for Manchester City's lunchtime Premier League showdown with Everton despite his error-strewn performance in the Champions League against Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

David Silva will make his first league appearance for Manchester City since August following his midweek return from injury.

For Everton, Steven Pienaar is out and Gareth Barry is ineligible to play against his parent club, but Kevin Mirallas has recovered from a knock, as has Darron Gibson, who starts on the bench.
