Gerrard: Pressure is on Ukraine

World Cup winner Zinedine Zidane is confident Frank Lampard will lead England to next year's finals in Brazil.

Roy Hodgson's men face Ukraine in Kiev on Tuesday with the chance to take a stranglehold on Group H in European qualifying.

However, should group leaders England suffer defeat in Kiev, Ukraine will take over at the top with just two games remaining.

But Zidane, a winner with France in 1998, has eased England's worries, predicting England, led by soon-to-be centurion Lampard, will soon be booking their tickets for Brazil.

However, the now Real Madrid assistant warned the World Cup itself will pose a more problematic test of England's abilities.

"England are going to be there but it's going to be complicated," Zidane told the BBC's Match of the Day Kickabout.

"I am sure they are going to make a great World Cup because they have a strong team and I am sure they are going to do something interesting, but it is going to be tough in Brazil.

"Every team has a chance when they are in the final rounds and England is one of them. England is a great team as a whole.

"The one that is standing out and is really a leader is Lampard."
