Arsenal sell Gervinho to Roma for £8m
As flagged for several days, Gervinho has joined Italian Serie A side Roma from Arsenal in a deal worth £8 million.
Gervinho, 26, struggled for a first-team place at Arsenal after being signed by Arsene Wenger for £10.5 million in 2011.
His profligacy in front of goal left fans frustrated; in his first full season he scored four times and added seven in 2012-13.
An Arsenal statement read: "Everyone would like to thank Gervinho for his contribution to the club and wish him well for his future career."
