Corinthians midfielder Paulinho has given the clearest indication yet that he will complete a move to Tottenham following Sunday's Confederation Cup final, saying that a switch to the Premier League side would be a "dream".

Paulinho, 24, has been strongly linked with Spurs in recent weeks - publicly admitting at one point that Andre Villas-Boas' side had tabled an offer for him. And it appears he will agree to terms and sign a deal once his international commitments with Brazil are completed.

"It is important for the team and for the Brazilian fans that at the moment all my focus is on winning the Confederations Cup," he said, according to the Daily Mirror. "But after the tournament is finished I hope it is a deal that can get finalised quickly."

The midfielder added that a move to White Hart Lane was attractive because the club has seemingly fended off any interest for their star assets this summer - showing they are serious about attempting to qualify for the Champions League, and even challenging for the Premier League title.

"To play in England for a great team like Tottenham is a dream," he added. "What I respect about Tottenham is the ambition they have shown.

"This summer there has been interest in their coach [Villas Boas] and their best player [Gareth Bale] - and they have been clear they are both not going anywhere."
