Stevan Jovetic has advice ringing in his ears, with the Arsenal target being advised to head for Manchester City.

Fiorentina forward Jovetic spoke positively earlier this week about being attracted to a move to Arsenal.

His Fiorentina team-mate Luca Toni put the boot into Arsenal by saying Jovetic should head to a 'big club' and this view has been backed up by Stefan Savic.

Savic had a spell at City and although it did not work out for him, he is convinced Jovetic would flourish at the Etihad.

"They are a rising team, one of the best clubs in Europe," Savic, who also plays for Fiorentina, said of City. "They will win trophies and be in the Champions League every year.

"It was hard for me there because I came straight from the Serbian league. I won a league title but knew I had to play regularly to improve, so I left - it was my decision.

"It is different for Stevan. He has five years' experience and could play straight away with Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez."
