John Terry claims Chelsea's aim for the rest of the season is to secure Europa League glory.

A season of major change at Stamford Bridge has seen Chelsea, as defending champions, crash out of the Champions League at the group stage and fall off the pace in the Premier League.

The FA Cup and Europa League are Chelsea's only chances of silverware this term and ahead of the trip to Sparta Prague on Thursday, captain Terry has made it clear that defeat is not an option.

The 32-year-old, who is hopeful of shaking off his knee problem to play, said: "We're now in the Europa League and there is one message - we have to go and win it. It's as simple as that.

"We have to make sure that we're switched on in European weeks because games will be coming on Thursdays and Sundays, which is a different situation for us.

"We must make sure that after those European matches we come back and win our League fixtures because, a lot of the time, we are going to be a game behind the teams around us by the time we play."
