Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho does not anticipate that he will become the manager of Paris Saint Germain in the near future.

Former Chelsea manager Mourinho has come in for criticism at Real this season, with the Liga champions currently trailing league leaders Barcelona by 15 points.

Speculation has suggested he could move on this summer, with PSG among the clubs mooted as a potential destination for the Portuguese.

Mourinho, though, has told RMC Sport: "No, I don't think I will coach PSG. The success of PSG with (Carlo) Ancelotti and Leonardo means they have no need for another coach.

"I hope everything goes well for Carlo and PSG. Europe needs to have a city like Paris competing at the top level of football, and I think this project is going to work."

Mourinho has thrown in the Liga title, claiming Real must now focus their attentions on the Copa del Rey and Champions League.

"La Liga is impossible now, the gap is enormous," Mourinho said. "This is a different championship to previous ones and we must focus on other objectives, like the Copa and the Champions League."
