Everton boss David Moyes has opened the door to the prospect of selling his star names, but says it will take huge offers to persuade him to do business.

Russian side Zenit St Petersburg have expressed interest in signing Belgian powerhouse Marouane Fellaini in January.

Moyes wants to retain his star names for an assault on the Champions League places, but would sell if a massive bid was tabled.

"I've said many times, if they want to come, they can come," Moyes said. "It is no problem for them to come and watch from the stands. But they had better come with a big chequebook."

Moyes has indicated it will only be the loan market that he will be looking at in January, unless funds are made available by player sales.

He said: "I think we may go into the loan market to see if we can find anything in that area - I think that is probably where we will be looking.

"But then that was the same as what we were doing last year, and then we made a sale with Diniyar Bilyaletdinov going back to Russia and it freed us up a little bit of cash to go and make the signing. So you never can tell."
