Rooney doubtful for United, RVP okay

Sir Alex Ferguson has mixed news on the injury front for Manchester United's trip to Norwich, with Robin van Persie expected to be fit but Wayne Rooney is a doubt.
United's striking duo missed the international friendlies on Wednesday after picking up injuries for their club against Aston Villa last weekend. Van Persie damaged a thigh, while Rooney knocked his ankle and while the Dutchman is set to shake off his problem - Rooney has taken longer to respond to treatment.
"We've still got some doubts about Wayne and Jonny Evans," Ferguson said at a press conference on Friday. "I think Robin should be fit. We'll see what they are like today but there is a doubt.
"Phil Jones has been training all week. We will take him to Turkey [to play Galatasaray in the Champions League] with us. He'll get part of it there, which is a good start for him."
Javier Hernandez was the star man for United against Villa, scoring twice in the comeback win, and he is set to start in front of the ESPN cameras.
Ferguson said: "Bringing on Chicharito [at Villa] was good for us and he should start tomorrow."
