Agent claims Balotelli committed to City

There are conflicting reports about the future of Mario Balotelli, with the Sun claiming he is on his way out of Manchester City but his agent has insisted the striker wants to remain at Eastlands.

Balotelli was omitted from the entire City squad for Sunday's win over Tottenham, a game he watched from the stands. The Sun has reported that Balotelli was informed of his omission the previous day - and consoled himself with a night out in Alderley Edge.

With Balotelli already omitted from the squad, the Sun says he has not broken any rules but the paper claims it will see manager Roberto Mancini get the green light to offload his fellow Italian.

This, though, is at odds with what Balotelli's agent has had to say. The striker has made only six starts this season and has cut a frustrated figure on occasions, but Mino Raiola claims his client has every intention of seeing out his contract which runs until 2015.

"There's no Italy and no plans to go there," Raiola told the Independent. "He'll work until the end of his contract. He doesn't want to leave."

Commenting on Balotelli's omission against Spurs, Raiola said: "There's no player happy with not playing in a game but he accepts it. It's all part of the game. It doesn't mean he wants to leave Manchester."
