Oscar is a player in the spotlight after his sparkling double blast

Oscar has insisted there was no fluke about his stunning second goal for Chelsea against Juventus on Wednesday night.

The Brazil youngster was handed his first Chelsea start against Juve and netted both goals in the 2-2 draw. The first came with the aid of a deflection, while the second has sparked much debate.

It was a beautiful, curling, 25-yard strike but there has been debate as to whether he meant the flick that brought him the space to unleash the shot.

Oscar was in no doubt that his touch was crafted. He said: "For the second goal, as soon as I made the first touch and I shot, I knew that the ball was going in. I was playing very well so I could score this beautiful goal and I'm very happy with it.

"I was trying to get space to shoot so my first touch was to get the ball away from Pirlo and shoot. It was a good goal.

"I am very happy with the two goals on my debut but I would have been much happier if the team had managed to win."
