Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente has refused to rule out a January move to the Premier League, after stating his desire to test his ability away from the club at which he has spent his entire career.

Llorente, a product of the Basque outfit's youth system, was linked with Tottenham during the summer transfer window, while Arsenal and Liverpool have also both been touted as potential suitors of the Spain international.

A move to the Premier League had looked to be unlikely, however, after reports in Spain hinted Llorente had decided that Serie A side Juventus were his preference.

No transfer was able to be completed before the August 31 deadline though, and January now appears to be Llorente's window of opportunity.

"I've been at Athletic for many years but one day I will play for another team," the 27-year-old was quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror.

"You never know how things will turn out, but it's not decided that my future is at Juventus."

Llorente declined the opportunity to pen a new deal at Athletic during the summer.
