Giovani dos Santos has told Tottenham to sell him this summer or face losing him for nothing next year.

The Mexican arrived at Spurs in 2008 from Barcelona with a towering reputation, but he has failed to nail down a regular starting slot and has been farmed out on loan to the likes of Ipswich, Galatasaray and Racing Santander.

The arrival of Andre Villas-Boas as Tottenham's new manager offers hope to fringe players, but Giovani does not feel he has any future at Tottenham.

"I'm either leaving the club this summer, or I'll sign for another club for free in six months' time, so I am relaxed about my future. " Giovani told Medio Tiempo.

Giovani did soften his stance later in the interview and has not closed the door on staying at White Hart Lane, but is desperate to secure regular playing time.

"Any player wants to play," he said. "In these three years it hasn't all been bad. I have had good and bad moments but I've also learned a lot. I am surrounded by great players and it is up to the chairman whether he wants to sell me."
