French giants Paris Saint-Germain have ruled out a move for Arsenal contract-rebel Robin van Persie.

Netherlands striker Van Persie revealed last week that he will not renew his contract at the Gunners, which has one year left to run, and expects to continue his football career away from Emirates Stadium.

PSG have been suggested as a potential destination for the forward if Arsenal decide to cash in on the 28-year-old this summer, rather than let him leave for nothing at the end of next season.

But PSG manager Carlo Ancelotti says Van Persie is not on the big-spending Parisiens' shopping list.

"Van Persie is not a target of ours, but I think he is for other clubs," he told a press conference.

Ancelotti has also been linked with a move for Juventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo, who played under the Italian at AC Milan from 2001 to 2009, but ruled out a swoop.

"Pirlo is an interesting player for any club, but I have had the chance to coach him for eight years and that is enough," Ancelotti said.
