Ireland coach Giovanni Trapattoni is convinced Spain will mix things up when the two sides meet on Thursday.

Spain drew with Italy in their Euro 2012 opener, with coach Vicente Del Bosque questioned for his decision to field a team without a recognised centre forward.

Del Bosque has defended his team selection, but Trapattoni expects Fernando Torres to be in the starting XI in Gdansk.

"I think there will a change," Trapattoni said. "I think we will see Torres."

The Irish media are calling for changes to their side, with Sunderland winger James McLean a topic of debate, but Trapattoni made it clear that he makes the decisions, not the press.

"I am my own man. I make my own decisions," he said. "I don't want to throw a young player into a situation where too much pressure is resting on his shoulders."

Trapattoni, meanwhile, attributed Richard Dunne's absence from training to blisters while he insisted keeper Shay Given had not suffered any injury setback.
