Rafael van der Vaart may be on his way out of White Hart Lane this summer, with reports linking the Dutchman with a return to the Bundesliga with Schalke.

Van der Vaart will be among the top transfer targets in Europe this summer after Spurs missed out on a place in the Champions League next season following Chelsea's victory in this year's competition.

And the 29-year-old, who has been with Harry Redknapp's side for two seasons, is now thought to be considering a return to Germany - where he spent three years with Hamburg before joining Real Madrid in 2008.

Schalke are reportedly keen to bring in the playmaker for £12 million, allowing Van der Vaart to link up with Dutch team-mate Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

But the playmaker denied that he is thinking about his future, with his thoughts consumed by Netherland's Euro 2012 campaign.

"I won't say anything about it," Van der Vaart told De Telegraaf. "At the moment I am fully focused on Euro 2012."
