Cesc Fabregas has admitted the battling qualities he learned at Arsenal are helping his new Barcelona side.

Barca are the best side in world football, boasting players of the quality of Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi. Fabregas was added to that band in the summer and he has settled in superbly.

It is not all fantasy football, with Fabregas admitting that he has drawn on the experiences of tough nights in the Premier League to help propel Barcelona forward.

"I learned so much at Arsenal and it is great to be able to use that experience in Spain," he said ahead of his playing return in London as Spain take on England at Wembley.

"Matches like Sunday's 2-2 draw in Bilbao, where the pitch was very wet, need the sort of strengths of the English game.

"It was the same against Hospitalet. They made life difficult for us with their approach. It was very competitive.

"We want to go very far in all competitions. To do that we have to deliver in difficult conditions too."
