Lazio fans' fears over Sergej Milinkovic-Savic's future have been allayed with his agent confirming the reason the player didn't report back in time with his club was simply because he missed his flight.
The Serb, who is a reported target for Manchester United and Real Madrid among others, failed to report for returning World Cup stars' medical examinations. The news led to speculation the reason he was not present was because a transfer away was imminent.
However, former Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman, who is also Milinkovic-Savic's agent, gave a much simpler explanation -- and says the player's relationship with the club is "excellent."
"Sergej missed his flight because of a terrible road accident in Belgrade, which blocked the traffic," he told TuttoMercatoWeb. "There are absolutely no problems.
"He will arrive in Rome tomorrow, where he will begin the medical exams and then the preparation. I am happy there is so much attention on him, but he really does have an excellent relationship with the club."
