Liverpool have confirmed that Allan has signed a season-long loan deal with Eintracht Frankfurt after agreeing a new contract with the Reds.

Brazilian midfielder Allan -- full name Allan Rodrigues de Souza -- joined the club from Internacional in 2015 and has yet to make a first team appearance following four loan spells.

He was immediately sent to Finnish side SJK Seinajoki before moving to Belgian outfit Sint-Truiden for the remainder of the 2015-16 campaign. He then spent the following season with Hertha Berlin and was in Cyprus with Apollon Limassol in 2017-18.

Allan, 21, will be joining the German Cup winners after Frankfurt stunned Bayern Munich in last season's final to earn a 3-1 victory. The result saw them qualify directly for the Europa League group stage.

Frankfurt start their campaign with a DFL-Supercup clash against reigning Bundesliga champions Bayern.
