Sergi Darder effort enough as Espanyol edge former club Malaga

Sergi Darder scored against his former club to help Espanyol claim a 1-0 victory at Malaga which increases the pressure on manager Michel.
Malaga are second from bottom of LaLiga having won just once in six matches and this latest defeat at Estadio La Rosaleda leaves them five points adrift of safety.
The visitors took the lead after six minutes through Darder, who collected Sergio Garcia's knock-down and fired into the bottom corner from just inside the box.
Malaga had opportunities to equalise before the break, most notably through Chory Castro and Adalberto Penaranda, but failed to find a leveller.
Didac Vila had a good chance to double Espanyol's lead on the break after 70 minutes, despite mounting Malaga pressure, but shot straight at Roberto.
The hosts desperately sought a way back into the game, with centre-back Luis Hernandez finishing the match up front, but Quique Sanchez Flores' side held on.
