PARIS -- Paris Saint-Germain will be without Edinson Cavani and Javier Pastore again away at Amiens in their Coupe de la Ligue quarterfinal on Wednesday.

The Uruguayan and the Argentine are now back in Paris and training again after failing to return to the French capital in time for the resumption of training after the international break and coach Unai Emery revealed during his prematch press conference on Tuesday that he has spoken with both of the players.

"Edinson and Javier must work [on their fitness]," the Spaniard told journalists at Camp des Loges. "The most important thing is the squad. We will continue to work with those who are fine.

"I have spoken with both of them and what was said remain between us."

Cavani and Pastore's potential sporting and economic sanctions have not yet been made public but Emery is not ready to welcome the South American pair back into the fold, so has left them out of his 18-man squad for the trip to Stade de la Licorne.

The Basque tactician is also without Thiago Motta, who picked up an injury during his brief substitute appearance during the 6-1 thrashing of Rennes in the Coupe de France last Sunday.

However, boosting Emery is the return of Layvin Kurzawa, who could replace Yuri Berchiche in the starting XI as the former Sevilla boss looks to rotate his options.

PSG sporting director Antero Henrique is continuing to push Lucas Moura and Hatem Ben Arfa towards the Parc des Princes exit in an effort to move them on this month, so both have been left out once again.

Only loan offers have materialised for Lucas and the Ligue 1 leaders are waiting on Ben Arfa's former coach at Nice, Claude Puel, to see if he shows some interest in adding his fellow Frenchman to his Leicester City squad.

Youth academy products Alec Georgen and Sebastien Cibois did not make the cut for the Amiens clash.
