Manchester United have announced that their former midfielder Nicky Butt will take charge of the reserve team on an interim basis.
Butt, United's Head of Academy, takes over on a short-term basis after Warren Joyce was named as the new manager of Championship side Wigan Athletic earlier this week.
Butt has previously coached the United under-19 teams that competed in the UEFA Youth League in 2013 and 2015, and his first game in charge of the reserves will be a friendly against Brentford on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Joyce takes charge of struggling Wigan for the first time against Reading this weekend.
The 51-year-old had been at Manchester United since 2008 and helped develop players including Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard.
He was in contention for the Blackburn Rovers job in the summer.
