Rafa Benitez insists Napoli's 4-0 victory 'wasn't easy'

Rafa Benitez said Napoli's Europa Leauge win over Trabzonspor "wasn't easy" despite a 4-0 scoreline in Turkey on Thursday.

Napoli shouldn't have too many too many troubles advancing to the round of 16, but Benitez insisted the opening leg was not as simple as it might have appearaed.

"It wasn't easy. We decided to keep playing the same tempo even after going 3-0 up," Benitez told Mediaset.

"We also got a fourth goal and I am satisfied. We did well throughout the game and were in complete control."

Napoli rebounded from a 3-1 defeat to Palermo last week, and Benitez said his side are learning with each game.

"We made mistakes in Palermo, but the overall performance was good. Today we did everything right. Let's not forget we were consistent with four consecutive victories and only lost at Palermo.

"We still lack the maturity to play every game well. It's an issue of experience and being accustomed to victory. We're still growing."

Manolo Gabbiadini scored one goal and set up another in his European debut, much to delight of his manager.

"We knew Gabbiadini was strong," Benitez said. "We signed him for the present and the future of Napoli."
