Manchester City have unveiled their new third kit for the 2018-19 campaign which draws inspiration from both the past and present.
Indeed, the new strip sees the reintroduction of an old favourite in the form of City's sporadically iconic sash.
Having last been deployed in 2010-11, City's newest alternative shirt features a bold sash design across the front, all bedecked in a striking purple and orange palette.
A closer look reveals that the shirt also features an aerial photographic image of east Manchester, specifically the area around the Etihad Stadium, which is subtly worked into the front panel.
Matched up with purple shorts, the new kit will be worn by City during the club's European endeavours this season.
