Former Barcelona midfielder Xavi Hernandez has penned a new two-year deal with Al-Sadd to extend his stay in Qatar until at least 2020.
Xavi Hernandez, who has played with Al-Sadd in Qatar since leaving Barcelona in 2015, said he hopes to prolong his career into next year.

Xavi Hernandez has agreed a one-year extension to his contract with Al Sadd which will see him remain in Qatar until at least 2018.
"I haven't spoken to him about his contact extension but he knows that Barcelona is the best club in the world for him," Xavi said.
