French driver Pierre Gasly has been named Red Bull's official reserve driver until the end of 2015.
Gasly drove for Red Bull at test days after the Spanish and Austrian Grands Prix and has been part of the team's development programme since 2014. He finished runner-up to current Toro Rosso driver Carlos Sainz in last year's Formula Renault 3.5 series and has claimed three podiums for DAMS in this season's GP2 campaign.
The 19-year-old replaces Sebastien Buemi and Antonio Felix da Costa as the official stand-in for Red Bull drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Daniil Kvyat.
Glad to be reserve driver for @redbullracing for the rest of the season. Let's get the best out of it! Keep working towards my goal!— Pierre Gasly (@PierreGASLY) September 28, 2015
